Tutco developed this test method for ASTM. The method evaluates the effect of extraction solutions or prepared corrosive solutions on 1) various metals and alloys 2) protection measures such as protective coatings. The procedure uses controlled reproducible conditions allowing the comparison, and measurement of corrosion. The accelerated conditions used produce a situation which may simulate the effect of many years of exposure in a matter of days, producing thousands of wet/dry cycles. Please contact Tutco for more information about the test method and so we can discuss the particular test application and approach needed to develop corrosion answers for your company.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Tutco has years of experience working with our clients on research and development for their thermal insulation or related materials. Many have been eventually brought to market.
We are able to modify test procedures to test: 1. Other Metals 2. Protective Coatings 3. Cements and Non-wicking Materials 4. Various Corrosion-causing Liquids 5. High Temperature Exposure 6. Adhesives. We are able to modify ASTM C692 and ASTM C1617 as well as other thermal insulation tests.
We've also developed and performed bench marking programs, worked with specification development, and test method development. Please contact us to see what we might be able to help you do.
Tutco performs a variety of ASTM and EN standard physical tests. Contact Tutco for current pricing information.
